The Best Green Beans (Loubyi b banadoura)

Here is what you will need:


2 lb. green beans

1 large onion

5 cloves of garlic

1/4 cup olive oil

Can of diced tomatoes or fresh ones

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1/2 cup water

salt and pepper to taste

Directions:


1- Trim the ends of the green beans and wash them.


2- Cut them in to two halves


3-Chop the onion finely and crush the garlic.


4- In a pot add olive oil, the onions and crushed garlic for sautéing over medium heat for about 5-6 mins

5- Add the green beans in to the pot and sauté for about 10 mins

6- Season the green beans with salt and pepper

7- Add the diced tomatoes to the green beans

8- After doing that, add the tomato paste with some water

9- Let the green beans simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.
